As light moves across the dragonfly, its iridescent wings reveal shifting shades of blue, purple and gold. Every viewing angle brings out a different side of the layered metallic finish.
Set every wing in motion
Each of the four wings can be adjusted independently and secured in position. Open them into a wide mid-flight silhouette or refine the angles to create a display that feels distinctly your own.

I brought this for my husband as a Christmas present, he loves Lego so I wasn’t sure if he’d take to a different kind of construction kit
… he’s now on his 3rd kit! He absolutely loves it
They’re really detailed models and well presented in the box
My first build so went with the dragonfly. Love it. Very clear packaging and parts. Easy to follow instructions with pictures. Some fiddly little sections which I expected and overcame quickly. Took a couple of hours with going careful and double checking bits. Only issue I had was that I broke 2 magnets so had to fiddle with the broken bits, which I assume was because I over tightened them. Will see if I can order those parts. Will definitely be trying another build 👍
Bought for my mum as a gift, she loved it!
She said all of the pieces are great quality, she loved how well labelled everything was, and how clear the instructions were.
Lovely looking model. Instructions were fairly clear, although I did use my phone camera to see some in more detail. I found it quite challenging, took me about 4 hours with lots of swearing when I dropped parts on the floor! I was very pleased with the finished model, it now has pride of place on my shelf.
Only complaint is arrived too late. My daughter put together the dragonfly for me. Took a couple run throughs to get instructions underway, love the results. Product is great quality. Holding the 2 other kits for Christmas next year.
I purchased this for my Dad who is very technically minded, and he said it was very challenging for him. He throughly enjoyed it, and thanked me a few times, I'm so pleased he loved it 🥰
I started with the plasma spider which I now understand to be one of the hardest to assemble. So building the dragonfly in comparison was a breeze. Love the iridescent wings so much so that I had to mount it to the wall with the best lighting in the house, my bathroom wall. I've also recently purchased the scorpion & dragon, but honestly I want a few more of these to put on my wall. I prefer something like this to traditional art. Gonna populate my home with aestheically pleasing mechanical creatures!
Great kit the instuctions are OK some images are a lillte hard to see but over all great.
The only issue I had was the longest 3.0 mm bolt had a damaged thread lukily I had a 3.0 mm die and could fix the thread.
I am now building the Terminator kit.
Next will be the Orb Spider.
fantastic! took us way longer to make the dragonfly (probably 3 hours) part than the base (approximately 45min). Now ir makes very adorable accesory in our room.
I really enjoyed this model. I wanted something that was not as complicated as some of the other large models out there something I could do in about a day this one fit the bill and did indeed take me one long afternoon. I would’ve given five stars, except that I did run into an issue with some of the bags being mislabeled. I love the fact that all the parts were individually bagged; with a lot of the other models. You get parts that are combined into bags but this one, in theory, was laid out really great.. if it hadn’t been for the mislabels it would’ve been perfect. Came with lots of extra pieces, which is nice. All in all really happy with it, just can’t quite give it that fifth star
Bought it as a gift. My brother-in-law loved it! He said it was challenging with how small the pieces were and enjoyed putting it together. Very cool piece in the end!
Bought as a gift for my lego addicted son, building it is more of a challenge and an achievement. Joining parts are small and fiddly, sometimes requiring the use of more than 2 hands, but worth it when completed.
Got this as a gift for my 13 year old daughter and she loved it. The packaging looked cool and the instructions were detailed. She was able to complete it herself and it looks great on display in her room.
It took a while to arrive and there were a couple of parts missing. My son was able to replace them with washers etc that he had . It is very beautiful and unique when finished.
I ordered 4 Mostarle kits as Christmas presents for relatives. While all have been completed, it wasn't without a fair bit of frustration and swearing! The models are much smaller than anticipated, meaning that the individual pieces are often very small - and tricky to hold in place while screwing together with tiny nuts and bolts.
One relative found using a pair of illuminated magnifying specs was invaluable; another used a reading lamp, small clamp and mini spanners he happened to have; and a third managed without any aids other than the screwdriver and pliers provided.
Before starting one of the kits, you need to be very methodical in sorting out the bags, only extracting what you need for each step (and keeping the bits you're using beside the relevant bag) so you don't get mixed up with what goes where if things go awry. I also recommend working over a tea towel or similar, because you will likely drop bits and they tend to bounce off hard surfaces, as I found to my cost - resulting in a torch and hands & knees search.
All have turned out really nicely and overall we're very pleased with them. I would buy one of these kits again.
Took a long time to arrive and I ordered two and they arrived separately.
Good quality boxing , looks cool.
My daughter made the dragonfly, it looks stunning, but very small pieces so good eyesight essential.
Quality product 👌
The metallic finish reflects surrounding light, so the colour and shimmer can appear different as the viewing angle changes.
Is the Dragonfly a suitable first build?
Yes. Its manageable format makes it a good choice for someone beginning with 3D metal models, while still providing enough detail to feel rewarding.
Are the wings delicate?
The wing pieces are designed for display and should be handled by their stronger attachment points. Avoid bending or lifting the model by the wing tips.
