Shape a creature that refuses to stay still
Its segmented body and articulated limbs let you create a coiled, crawling or suspended silhouette. Each adjustment changes how the mechanical creature occupies the space around it.
Light the eyes. Reveal the energy within.
Twist the control to ignite the red eyes, while a dual-color LED core sends blue and magenta light through the transparent tubing. After dark, the illumination reveals details that nearly disappear in daylight.
Take on a build with real depth
Bring more than 700 metal pieces together over an estimated nine-hour-plus build. With the illustrated guide and included tools, individual joints, plates and fasteners gradually form one continuous biomechanical structure.

Here's my latest steampunk project for your inspiration:
A nebulipede nest and jumping spider in a security backpack cage guarded by an octopus.
After the video presentation, you'll find individual photos of the various crafting steps.
Consisting of:
Decorative aviary made of metal and wood.
Nebulipedes made of 736 metal parts.
Spring spider made of 220 individual parts.
Octopus made from a 3D printer.
Rainbow lighting from Fischertechnik.
Power supply for the eyes and spider via mini button cells, LED strips via USB power bank, and cage lighting with a 9V battery.
Black packing peanuts.
Black egg made from a massage ball.
Leather straps from a women's backpack.
Back protector made of plexiglass.
Original German Army locker lock.
It looks amazing so it was definitely worth it, however the instructions can be somewhat confusing and its hard to properly screw in and hold some parts. Its prone to unscrewing itself when you move it around but its absolutely gorgeous as a display piece!
The design is very beautiful, it’s also very good quality. But oh man sometimes just a pain in the *** . I will buy more of those products it’s good for when you bored and also a great achievement if you are done with it.
This was another fun build, with very clear and precise instructions and in colour. I can’t get enough of these models, they are awesome to put together and the end result is beautiful. Thank you Mostarle for a wonderful design and piece.
Des heures de plaisir pour mon petit-fils âgé de 12 ans. C'est le quatrième modèle Mostarle qu'il monte, avec un enthousiasme constant. Produit d'excellente qualité.
I bought it to my friend as a birthday gift.
He loves it. He hasnt, finshed yet, currently working on it. Not an easy model, but it is extremely awesome.
The only bad thing I have to say is that the instructions are a bit too small to clearly see where some parts go, and it's hard to see how it should look when it's put together.
A good model, plenty fiddly and complex.
The worst bits are bedding the top parts over for the legs.... and the led strips. Only one survived, with the black connector snapping off when bolting it onto the model.
Magnets are good for quickly connecting, but a right pain when bolting them.
On the whole a good model but needs plenty of time and patience and the led bits need a redesign to be a little more durable.
What makes Nebulipedes different from a single mechanical insect?
Its long segmented body creates a repeating mechanical structure with many linked sections, producing a more substantial and visually complex finished model.
Can the finished body be posed?
The connected body sections allow the model’s overall curve and stance to be adjusted within the limits of its mechanical joints.
Is this suitable for a quick build?
No. Nebulipedes is better for someone looking for a longer, more demanding project with repeated assemblies and many detailed connections.
